They also did some coloring sheets. Bahot achcha laga !

Alstonia scholaris - in India (Delhi)
I can smell it everywhere in streets in Delhi, since end september... and I'm addicted ! ohh it's sweet spicy smell. Scholar Tree is an elegant evergreen tree, found in most parts of India. The generic name commemorates the distinguished botanist, Prof. C. Alston of Edinburgh, 1685-1760. The species name scholaris refers to the fact that the timber of this tree has traditionally been used to make wooden slates for school children. In October small, green yet fragrant flowers appear. Its bark, known as Dita Bark, is used in traditional medicine to treat dysentery and fever. In Ayurveda it is used as a bitter and as an astringent herb for treating skin disorders, malarial fever, urticaria, chronic dysentery, diarrhea, in snake bite and for upper purification process of Panchakarma . The Milky juice of the tree is applied to ulcers.

Saptaparna (Sanskrit, ‘seven-leaved’) TRADITIONAL USES: Since ancient times, the Alstonia scholars tree has been used to make paper in India and other parts of South Asia. The wood has also been made in to writing tablets (Miller 1985). These things help to explain the name of the species, scholaris, and show the strong connection that this plant has with written language and scholarship. In India, many tribal peoples believe that the dita tree is evil and avoid it completely. They say that the tree is inhabited by an evil spirit who will possess any individual who dares walk or sleep beneath it. This spirit is also said to kill any individual who chooses to sleep beneath its branches. Thanks to this belief, dita trees have been spared much of the destruction that has faced other species of tree in India

Why important to be a good teacher

In India, 5th September is celebrated as Teachers Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, the President of India and above all, a teacher. He has been influential in shaping the understanding of Hinduism, in both India and the west, and earned a reputation as a bridge-builder between India and the West.

Since the year 1967, 5th September is celebrated as Teacher's Day till date.

After a longtime a Bollywood film made me laugh so much. Seriously

Also it has a inter-cultural touch in it, that is very true about India. South India, North... language differences, dress, traditions and family values.
Irony is I saw it on the smallest screen that exists, that of an airplane.
We wrere going to Delhi.

Hindi Diwas / Jour de Hindi

14th September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas in India.
Hindi Day because the Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devnagari script as the Official Language of the Union on 14th September 1949.

History of Hindi Language
The history connected with Hindi belongs in order to Indo-Aryan branch connected with Indo-European language family. The Persian and the Mughals added his or her flavour to the actual Hindi language. After independence, the Indian Government started standardizing Hindi along with rules of standardization connected with grammar and orthography, while using Devanagari script to create about uniformity in writing, improve some characters and create diacritics to show sounds.

Bienvenus ! Namasté

Souvent on me demande à quoi signifie le niveau débutant.
Ce n'est pas evident de mettre une limite à une langue, quant à fluidité ou apprehension.
Mais en generale c'est ca selon mes cours de Hindi parlé, de la rue, (et non des Méthodes connus)

Connaissance des alphabets. Habituer les sons.

Dire sur soi-même, se présenter et décrire son environnement proche et poser des questions.
Savoir répondre à un questionnaire (nom, nationalité, âge,…)

Etre capable de reproduire des expressions fréquemment utilisées.

Exprimer des besoins de la vie courante (la faim, la soif, malade…)

Demander des renseignements (s’orienter à l’aéroport, s’informer sur un hotel, chemin...)

Pouvoir lire et ecrire Hindi transcrit en anglais façon fait en Inde, les noms des films, restaurant, rues...

Voila... donc à bientôt pour vos premiers cours avec moi.
